Arleen and Taylor’s Woodland Gardens wedding on Vashon Island was intimate, whimsical, and completely surrounded by the kind of Pacific Northwest scenery that doesn’t feel real until you’re standing in it. Hidden beneath towering evergreens, they celebrated with an outdoor dinner, candlelight, golden sun pouring through the trees, and the people they love most.
A Woodland Gardens Wedding on Vashon Island
Arleen and Taylor’s wedding day on Vashon Island felt like stepping into a secret little world tucked beneath the evergreens. At Woodland Gardens, sunlight poured through the towering trees in soft golden beams, creating dreamy sun flares that danced across every moment of the day. Everywhere you looked felt quiet, lush, and impossibly romantic.
Days like this are one of my favorite parts of filming weddings around the Pacific Northwest. Give me towering trees, weird little details, golden light, and a celebration that feels more like a giant dinner party than a traditional wedding any day.
Their outdoor dinner tables stretched beneath the trees like something out of a storybook. Candlelight, thoughtful details, temporary tattoos, flowing drinks, and the sound of laughter echoing through the woods turned the entire evening into a warm and whimsical celebration that felt less like a formal wedding and more like being welcomed home by people who love each other deeply.
If you’re dreaming about a wedding surrounded by greenery but want something closer to the city, Nathalie & Harry’s wedding at the UW Center for Urban Horticulture brought a completely different kind of garden-party energy, with bold color, playful details, and one incredible Seattle celebration.
Arleen and Taylor were absolutely stunning, but what made the day unforgettable was the feeling surrounding them. Friends and family wrapped them in constant joy, warmth, and celebration from the very beginning of the day to the final drinks of the night. Every interaction felt genuine. Every toast felt heartfelt. Every moment felt lived-in and full of love.
This wedding was proof that the most beautiful celebrations are the ones that feel deeply personal. Intimate, emotional, a little wild, and completely full of heart. Cheers to Arleen & Taylor and many more wildly in love nights to come!
