If you’ve ever wondered what happens when two incredible humans throw a wedding in New Orleans on Halloween weekend… this is it. Chris & Ross choose New Orleans as the backdrop for their wedding and the city become a character in the story. The celebrations started on Halloween night with a welcome party at the legendary Pat O’Brien’s, where they stood on the balcony tossing beads to everyone below. Pirates, witches, vampires, tourists, locals… if you happened to be walking down Bourbon Street, you were suddenly part of the party. Honestly, there was no better way to kick off a wedding weekend in one of the most vibrant cities in the world.
The next day began tucked inside the historic French Quarter before everyone gathered at the breathtaking Latrobe’s on Royal. Built in the early 1800s, this iconic New Orleans landmark has witnessed generations of celebrations, and for one unforgettable evening, it became home to Chris & Ross’s own. The room glowed with lanterns and candles, creating a warm, romantic atmosphere that felt equal parts historic, mysterious, and effortlessly cool. It was intimate in all the best ways—like stepping into another era while somehow still feeling completely alive.
And then they somehow managed to throw what felt like the coolest party EVER. Guests had custom poems typed on a vintage typewriter. They had their fortunes read by a tarot card reader. An Absinthe Fairy wandered the room serving one of the city’s most iconic spirits while a champagne skirt kept glasses full. A lollipop dancer entertained the scene, live painters turned dancing into artwork before everyone’s eyes, espresso martinis flowed almost as freely as the Fireball, and every bite of incredible New Orleans cuisine reminded everyone why this city is famous for its food. The disco ball reflected candlelight across the room, the black-and-white checkered dance floor stayed packed, and Chris & Ross even had their wedding cake decorated with hand-painted recreations of Chris’s tattoos. Because of course they did!!!!
Then came the moment that could only happen in New Orleans. The doors swung open, the brass band struck its first notes, and suddenly the entire French Quarter became part of the wedding. Chris & Ross led hundreds of cheering friends and family through the historic streets in a Second Line parade filled with trumpets, trombones, dancing, waving handkerchiefs, and nonstop celebration. Locals stopped to cheer. Tourists joined in. The city echoed with music, laughter, and pure joy as everyone danced their way through one of New Orleans’ most beloved traditions.
Chris and Ross – what a f*cking epic weekend. Thank you for letting me capture a weekend that perfectly blended romance, history, Halloween magic, and the unmistakable spirit of New Orleans. I hope every time you watch this film, you can hear the horns, feel the candlelight, and remember exactly what it felt like to dance through the French Quarter surrounded by everyone you love.
