Queer love deserves to be seen. Not just tolerated, not just accepted, but celebrated.
That’s why I’m beyond stoked to share that Rebecca Lynn Films has been listed in the Dancing With Her wedding vendor directory! YAY!!!
If you haven’t heard of Dancing With Her, it’s more than just a wedding blog. It’s a space built by and for LGBTQ+ couples, where love stories are told without restraints. With all of the joy, color, and depth that queer relationships hold. It’s a space where couples can see themselves fully reflected and find wedding vendors who get them.
As a queer wedding videographer myself, being part of this directory means the world to me. Because tbh, queer couples still struggle to find vendors who truly make them feel safe, celebrated, and seen.
One of the hardest things about wedding planning as a queer couple? Finding vendors who actually speak to you.
Imagine scrolling through wedding websites, only to see “Bride & Groom” plastered everywhere. It’s isolating. It’s frustrating. It makes you wonder…will this vendor know how to work with us? Will they even accept us?
And it’s not just the language. When a vendor never showcases LGBTQ+ couples on their website or socials, it sends a message, even if it’s unintentional. Queer couples shouldn’t have to guess whether a vendor is safe or affirming.
That’s why I’m intentional as hell about making sure my website, contact forms, emails, and social media are explicitly inclusive. When we’re filming, I use the right pronouns, avoid the stiff and tired heteronormative poses, and I let my couples just be themselves. My couples should feel free to be as loud in love as possible.
If you’re a wedding vendor reading this, your words and your visibility matter. There’s no excuse for not being inclusive unless you’re actively against the LGBTQ+ community.
We can’t talk about queer love and weddings without talking about what’s happening in the world right now. Our rights are actively under threat.
(If you want to read more, this article from The Atlantic does a deep dive.)
And this isn’t just politics, it’s real life. It’s about queer couples feeling safe to BE IN LOVE AND GET MARRIED. It’s about whether LGBTQ+ wedding vendors can continue to operate freely. It’s about making sure that love doesn’t have to hide.
If you’re planning a wedding right now, I know how scary this all feels. But here’s what I want you to know:
Your love is real. Your love is powerful. And you deserve a wedding day that feels like YOU.
This is why visibility matters. This is why we lift up LGBTQ+ love stories, to push back against the fear, to celebrate joy, and to show that we are here, we are queer, we are thriving, and we aren’t going anywhere.
If you’re looking for affirming wedding vendors and legal resources, here are a few places to start:

If you’re an LGBTQ+ couple looking for a videographer who will celebrate you exactly as you are, I’d love to be part of your story. Whether you’re getting married in Seattle, Portland, or anywhere across the U.S., let’s create something real, raw, and unapologetically YOU.
